[NEWS] 110318 Comeback not far away, Dongho's surprising acting in 'Royal Family'

U-Kiss' member Dongho has surprised viewers and fans with his acting skills in the rising MBC drama 'Royal Family.'

Last week, on the March 16th broadcast, Dongho told his mother (Youm Jungah) that he would be staying in the JK district. He therefore coldheartedly left his birth mother.

In 'Royal Family,' the character of ByungJun (Dongho) has a background conflict between power and resistance. Staying in the JK district, he will plan and move toward protecting both his and his mother's future.

Pertaining to this, Dongho stated, “at 17, I've not owned vast amounts of power or property and I'm filled with caution as I approach this role. However, by studying acting and also help from others, I'm getting better and better.” Dongho also discusses U-Kiss' comeback activities. “Currently, we're finishing a new album and after picking the comeback date, I'm nervous to be an idol with a concept like this.”

At the same time, U-Kiss has released an official statement revealing their comeback date. Their new album will be unveiled on the 30th, along with the two new members.

[NEWS] 110302 U-Kiss’ Dongho to act in “Royal Family”

U-Kiss’ Dongho is set to make his acting debut in a full-length drama.

The idol recently starred in movies and dramas but never acted continuously throughout the works. Through MBC’s new drama “Royal Family“, Dongho will make his first full-length acting debut.

Dongho will act as ‘Jo Byung Joon‘, the son of ‘Kim In Sook‘, played by actress Yeom Jung Ah. He will play a cold character studying abroad in Boston who has the ambition to attend Harvard. In the drama he even tells his mother to give up his custody for his future.

The idol stated, “I have acted in movies and sitcoms but this is my first time starring in a full-length drama so I was very nervous at my first filming. Fortunately Yeom Jung Ah sunbaenim helped me out a lot so I was able to finish filming successfully“.

Dongho has appeared in several movies, including in “My Black Mini Dress” and “Happy Together“, becoming a rising newbie actor. He also said, “I will be able to meet my fans in more works this year. I lack so many things but I will always work hard to become a good actor“.

“Royal Family” will be succeeding “My Princess” and is set to air on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9:55PM KST. It will air its first episode on March 2nd.
