[NEWS] 110906 U-Kiss' members 'amazed', when interview was interrupted

On the episode of YTN's 'News and Issue - Issue and People' that was aired on the 6th, U-Kiss members Soohyun, Dongho and Kevin made an appearance on the show but their interview was interrupted due to a breaking news bulletin.

During the interview, U-Kiss talked about their activities in Japan as showed off how they have become Hallyu stars. However, a breaking news bulletin was received during the show, causing their interview to be interrupted.

It was because of the news of Professor Ahn Cheol-soo giving up his Seoul mayor candidacy. Due to the nature of the news, there was no other choice but to interrupt the interview.

Hence, U-Kiss' interview was interrupted while the news anchors delivered the breaking news. After apologising to the members, the interview went on and the members expressed that they were amazed.

On another note, U-Kiss introduced their new album and shared honest stories about their promotion activities in Japan through this episode.

[NEWS] 110906 Who are U-Kiss’ rivals?

The nature of the K-Pop industry these days is to pit idol groups against each other, and oftentimes, reporters will ask a group about who they feel their rivals are. U-Kiss recently confessed that they felt their #1 opponents were themselves, not other groups.

On September 6th, YTV‘s ‘News ‘n Issue’ interviewed U-Kiss and asked them to name their rivals. The boys sincerely answered that it was themselves.

They explained, “Rather than thinking that we have to beat someone, we’ve always thought that we were our worst opponents,” and that “If we try hard to surpass ourselves, we believe there will be success in our future”.

Members Soohyun, Kevin, and Dongho have indeed been trying to challenge themselves by taking on acting. Soohyun and Kevin participated in the musicals ‘Chorus Line’ and ‘On Air Live’ respectively, while Dongho made appearances in movies and dramas.

Soohyun stated, “While doing the musical, I shed tears because I was reminded of the memories leading up to the debut. It was a good experience.”

Kevin also chimed in with his thoughts on his musical debut, saying, “Despite being my first musical, it was a good experience. My role was that of an idol, which was convenient for me. I want to keep acting.”

Since they’ve never won on a music program before, U-Kiss has made it their goal to win 1st place for the first time with their 2nd official album, ‘Neverland’.

[NEWS] 110904 U-Kiss’ AJ and Lee Seung Yoon take a true doppelganger picture

Comedian Lee Seung Yoon and U-Kiss member AJ recently took a friendly photo together that had many netizens cry out that they truly looked like twins.

On September 3rd, Lee Seung Yoon tweeted, “With U-Kiss’ AJ whom I met at the Chuseok special~ The U-KISS members all said that we looked alike so I took a picture with him ^^”.

AJ replied, “Hyung! I think we do look similar!“, as he reviewed the photo.

Netizens who came across this picture commented, “I think they do seem a bit similar“, “The size of their faces are definitely different“, and “Huk, they really look alike! Lee Sung Yoon was secretly an idol?”

[NEWS] 110903 U-Kiss’ Eli to miss initial comeback promotions after injuring his knee

It’s just been reported that Eli sustained a knee injury during rehearsals, and must therefore miss initial comeback activities with the rest of his U-Kiss members.

According to U-Kiss’ agency, NH Media, the boys were preparing for their first comeback stage when Eli tore a knee muscle during rehearsal.

An associate of NH Media stated, “Eli has been ordered to stay in bed and rest for at least 10 days. We’re planning on going forward with just six members instead.”

They added, “The choreography of “Neverland” requires power and technique, so it could have resulted in Eli’s injury. As a result, we’re planning on changing the choreography“.

Meanwhile, U-Kiss revealed their new album on the 1st and recorded #1 on album sales chart. They’re slated to have their first comeback performance on the 8th through Mnet‘s ‘M! Countdown‘.
