(Kuala Lumpur 15th) After leaving U-Kiss and going solo,
Alexander came to Malaysia yesterday [13th] as part of the Christian
music group 3rd Wave. At the press conference, he expressed that his
solo digital album will be released by the end of the year. He is
challenging songs in 4 languages, including Chinese, Korean, Japanese,
and English. He also cried out that he is not used to the work that he
has to do “all on his own.”
Coming from Korea, the Christian music group 3rd Wave is comprised of
a number of Hallyu singers, including Brian Joo (Joo Min Kyu), Super
Junior’s Siwon Choi, former U-Kiss leader Alexander, etc. Yesterday
[arrived on 13th], through the sincere invitation of Malaysian artists’
Star Park and PD&U, Brian Joo and Alexander have come to Malaysia as
representatives of the group 3rd Wave.
As soon as the press conference started, Alexander immediately
greeted the Malaysian media with “Selamat Petang” upon arriving. This
made Brian Joo, who was standing next to him, unwilling to be the weaker
link and immediately learned from the host Hao Min [DJ Min from Fm
98.8] “Aku Cinta Padamu” to greet the media. This caused the Malaysian
media to laugh heartily.
Alexander: Still not used to being solo
After leaving U-Kiss and going solo, Alexander was asked what he has
been busy with lately. He shyly gave a laugh and expressed that he is
currently working hard to prepare his solo digital album. The expected release time is December.
At the same time, he also expressed that he really admires Eason Chan
and even spontaneously sang “Happy Ferris Wheel” a cappella at the press
conference. When asked why he would choose to leave the group, he
expressed, “Let’s wait till next time when I come to Malaysia to discuss
this. But I’m used to working as part of a group of 7. Now, I’m
suddenly by myself, so I’ll need time to adjust.” Also, like him who
went from a group to being solo, Brian Joo revealed that he had shared
his own experiences with Alexander and gave him encouragement.
Brian and Van Ness became good friends through duet
When discussing the 3rd Wave worship album “I Will Be There”, founder
Johnny expressed that it was an honor to find well-known Korean artists
to join this time. It is his hope that through the influence of idols,
more people can come into contact with God’s love. In addition, on this
album, Brian Joo and Van Ness sang the duet “Everything to Me.” He
expressed that even though the recording was done separately, they got
to know each other through this opportunity and became good friends,
keeping in touch even now.
