Korean male group U-Kiss was in the Philippines last week to meet fans. They performed at SM Malls for the first time. The venue only fit 5000 people, but 20,000 fans showed up, surpassing the expectancy by 3 times.
The fans were really respectful and followed rules, the event ran smoothly with no accidents. According to the Philippines, U-Kiss’ event brought on the highest amount of fans ever recorded. They also went onto a lot of radio and television programs for interviews. Their CD sold 7000 copies in 3 days, surpassing the 2000 expectancy. Reporters say U-Kiss will have a concert in the Philippines in June and their next stop is Thailand.

I know that this isn't new news, but I'm really surprised that they became popular enough that the Chinese newspaper actually wrote about them. I flip through the newspaper usually, and it's usually the really popular groups like Big Bang, Rain, DBSK, etc. that get published onto their tiny Korean section. I guess this means the boys are gaining popularity, good job :D
